Breastfeeding Support

Support to help you to breastfeed successfully and with pleasure

We are happy to have experienced Lactation Consultant – Regina Covington, who can provide the help you may need for a successful and comfortable breastfeeding partnership with your baby. Some women stop breastfeeding much sooner than they would have wished, simply because they are unaware that there is help available. Lactation consultants or breastfeeding support workers provide this professional, one-to-one support and information to help women overcome breastfeeding problems.

Support in your breastfeeding journey can include giving advice on good nutrition and positioning, and offering practical solutions and guidance to help solve some of the following problems:

• Painful breastfeeding, including sore and cracked nipples
• Difficulty positioning and attaching the baby to the breast
• Babies who are reluctant or unable to feed at the breast
• Mastitis
• Thrush
• Difficulty achieving and maintaining a good milk supply
• Meeting the challenge of breastfeeding and returning to work
